Kuuvik River Expedition Participants

Koben Christianson is an amateur climate change communicator, an occasional sustainability scientist, and a dabbling eco-entrepreneur.  His latest research has delved into how to optimally design a global “per-capita” emission entitlement system, which could cap and cut the amount of greenhouse gases that are being polluted into the sky by humans while simultaneously promoting international equity and sustainable development.   Dr. Kyle “Wyatt Earp” Dawson works at a federal government research laboratory in California.  An astrophysicist by profession, educated at Berkeley and Cornell, he maps the universe, thinks about supernovas, and designs high-tech spacecraft.  The Hubble Space Telescope and the Keck optical telescope in Hawaii are his favorite telescopes to use.  While in Nunavik he bought some walrus ivory artwork for his dearly beloved.

Ignatius O’Reilly operates from Manhattan, NYC, where he likes
to prepare gourmet meals, follow Mexican politics, and practice his Russian.  A veteran gubernatorial speech writer and USA presidential campaign advisor, he can speak poetically about verb-to-object ratios and gerund utilization.  On leave from his Arabic lessons, Iggy may soon customize a diesel car to run on veggie oil, and thus acquire an option for clean mobility.

Tom Innes is a military-trained civil engineer who tends to specialize at developing highway infrastructure.  An Eagle Scout, he is well-versed in wilderness survival techniques.  Growing up in Richmond, erstwhile capital of the Confederate Nation, he played lacrosse and was a nature preservation volunteer.  He enjoys going hunting for wild game, listening to bluegrass tunes, climbing New Mexico peaks, and visiting beaches along the East Coast.
